Mary Jane was born in the upper illies, Buncrana. she moved to Ballyrtin with her family and spent most of her life in the family home in Ballyartin. After moving to Ballyholly with her brother Pat she booked herself in to a home in Limivady, Co. Derry. Mary Jane died on the 11th of June 1986. She is buried in the same grave as her mother and father in Cockhill, Buncrana.
